Forum: general Subject: why are only certain pages from the same time period archived?

As above really.. I've been searching the archives of a site, and found that only certain pages are available/have been archived from the same time period. There are pages available from previous and following years, and appear to be no reason why these pages should be ommitted. For example, there are discussion threads in which only 2 or 3 pages are available.
A message appears when attempting to access the rest of the thread stating that these pages have not been archived but may be during the next crawl. Why would they not appear when, as stated above, there are pages available from the previous and following years? I'm confused and a little frustrated.. would be very beneficial to be able to access these particular pages. Help anyone? Thanks, d
